Sean O’Sullivan (Island) was born around 1819. Because his father had came to Kilcatherine from Whiddy Island, his family were known as the Islands. He worked the home farm with his three brothers. He died on the 28th of May 1887.
Mary Downey (Bawn) was born around 1826 in Kilcatherine. Her parents were Denis Downey and Mary Houlihan. She was a wool spinner. She died on the 17th of May, 1907.
Sean and Mary married in 1855 and they had four children.
