Quinlan Sullivan was born on 3rd of July 1899 in Kilcatherine and baptised on July 6th in Eyeries. After taking part in the War of Independence, he travelled to the USA in 1923 and became a US citizen in 1928. He died on November 1st 1983.
Mary BROOKS was born on 1 December 1900 in Derryconnery, Cork and baptised in Glengarriff on the following day. She travelled to the USA in 1925. She died on 2 October 1939 in Glengarriff, Cork, Ireland.
Quinlan and Mary married in 1929 and they lived in Boston, Massachusetts before returning to Kilcatherine in the 1930s where they settled on the family farm. They had five daughters.
