Mortimer Sullivan & Margaret Brien

Mortimer SULLIVAN was born around 1816. He was a farmer. It seems likely that he is the Mortimer Sullivan of Derryconnery who married Mary Sullivan, to whom four children were between 1847 and 1860, prior to his marriage to Margaret Brien. At that time he farmed in Derryconnery. He died on 5th October 1882 in Derryconnery.

Margaret Brien does not appear on any records, other than her marriage and the births of her children. The date and place of her birth are not recorded. Neither can the date of her death be confirmed. There is a record of a woman named Margaret Sullivan aged 32 drowning in Crostera West in 1875 but there is no way of ascertaining whether this is the same person.

Mortimer and Margaret married on 5th February 1863 in Glengarriff. They lived in Crostera West and had the following children
