James and Mary married some time before 1830 and lived on the family farm in Lisnakealwee. The Castlegregory parish registers record baptisms for the following children. Apart from Brian it is not known how many of these survived. In particular, naming the youngest daughter Bridget in 1844 makes it likely that the older sister with the same name had died by that time.
